♪ we're on the road to meridian city we're on the road to meridian ♫Not far from Meridian's plaza lies a forest that stretches beyond comprehension. If there's an end to it, no one's ever found it - or, at least, they've never come back to tell the tale. It's said to change shape as you go deeper: the trees grow taller, beasts peer out from the darkness, the light gets choked out by the canopy... as such, most aspiring adventurers don't stray too far from the treeline, sticking to gathering materials to sell and maybe fighting some low-level monsters. Some particularly seedy characters go in just a little deeper, looting the corpses of those foolish enough to think they could handle the forest's heart. And some people... "Ah! How incredible! I've never seen anything like this!"...Just want to stop and smell the roses. Literally. Standing at the very edge of the forest was a short, stout woman with thick eyebrows and green hair tied up in a bun. She seemed utterly enthralled with a bush of roses - and, to be fair, they were pretty fascinating. They were bluish and transparent with tiny spots that glimmered even in this low light. In fact, the roses seemed to give off their own light. The same could be said of the rest of the plant life here; the greenery (or rather, the bluery?) glowed faintly for as far as the eye could see. Or, at least, dared to see. So, what'll you do? Go on a nice walk? Gather some stuff to sell? Go deeper to find some monsters? Go even deeper to find some corpses to loot (or maybe find people to save if you're a nerd like that)? Work on your botany skills and make a friend? Walk onward through the forest until you reach Meridian City and get your 8th Gym Badge? Wait, no.

There among the greenery was someone distinctly not green. He was a great deal many colors, his white robe with sleeves apparently cut too long was draped in what seemed to be a blue blanket which edges extended just short of the hem of the white robe underneath. On his right arm a yellow handkerchief was tied and out from his collar a strip of red fabric was visible. Lastly the blonde young androgynous man had a long black bandanna that tied back one of his long bangs to reveal his right amber colored eye but the other was hidden underneath his other bang. He was a fashion atrocity if there ever was one, but since no style savvy trendsoldiers came forward to smite his foul existence from the otherwise pristine landscape he continued to exist. That being said other than being a blasphemy against aesthetics he seemed harmless enough. Just rubbing a bunch of leaves from a nearby brush between his fingers and muttering under his breath and looking sort of grumpy. "...Green, green, green, green, green, green, green......."

A girl was also there looking over those same roses. She apparently hasn't noticed the green chick yet, as she was just too amazed by how beautiful the roses looked in general. This small forest girl has never seen these kinds of roses before! Meanwhile, if anyone decided to go deeper into the forest, they would have been able to pick up a faint voice. Following it, and being stealthy enough as they got closer, they would have come across someone practicing their dancing, and singing a tune to go with it. Maybe be just a little mesmerized, too, despite not being able to understand the song because of language barriers. It's still a bit lovely to listen to, nonetheless. And the person wouldn't have notices whoever was there yet! ...For now.

|| - Entrance - || The green-haired woman took notice of the girl nearby. Her eyes lit up. Another botanist! Or really, at least another person interested in plants! While she was away from the others, she had to take every opportunity possible to make friends and prove to others that she was a normal and likeable person. Her friends were... something else. "Umm, hello there!" she called out, edging a little bit closer. "Are you from around here at all? The flowers around here are lovely, aren't they?"|| - Deeper Forest - || It wasn't uncommon for Rize to get lost. In fact, that was almost a daily occurrence. She spent most of her time wandering around unknown places to get information, so getting lost was just part of the job. Nonetheless, every time she got lost she was just as nervous and jumpy as the previous time. She had been wandering around in an attempt to find some sort of path for the past hour or so with no luck. She wasn't even sure if she was closer to or further from the entrance! She'd just transform into her dragon form and scurry up a tree to get a better view, but going into a form small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand in a dense forest full of all kinds of foreign animals sounded like a recipe for disaster. As such, hearing a voice immediately drew her attention. Maybe someone could help her! Well, that was the idea. Instead, at the moment, Rize wound up hiding behind a tree, transfixed by the show the mysterious stranger was putting on. The kinda hot stranger. Hence why her face was a bright shade of pink and she could only watch in brief peeks. The shame was real.
